Beginning Thoughts as we begin LRND6700

Welcome to my fellow participants of LRND6700.
I've spent many years in the Print & Graphics industry with the exception of a few in higher-ed after I completed my undergrad in Visual Communications Technology as a non-traditional student. I found the contrast between the two quite refreshing, and when I returned to industry, I realized the latter a more stimulating environment. Hence my return to coursework- this being one of the first. Although I've been involved with technologies, training, etc., the information presented thus far have proven quite foreign as far as my personal utilization.
Coming from a corporate background of many years, much of the "learning" is pretty much in your face and on the fly. Within the context of this course, I hope to learn how multimedia, interactive media, and other emerging technologies can be used in a corporate environment. I look forward to collaborating with everyone as we begin this journey.

So now we begin......

So this will be my first blog post........ever.
I have worked in industry (print) for most of the past 35 years.
After receiving my B.S. In Visual Communications Technology from Bowling Green State University, I continued at the university as a photographer for a few years before returning to industry where a big part of my responsibilities included corporate and departmental training. While technology has been a large part of my career, much of the methods used in this course as well as other means of delivering information, is quite new to me.
In the the LRND6820 course, I hope to be able to take away a new sense of how these technologies can enhance and improve training and education in a corporate environment.
